Hi there!
So I was given the suggestion to build an elephant in a plot I had made. Because it was a really good suggestion (and I didn't get any others..) I went ahead and built it! Here's the finished project. I added some teal and yellow flowers, a couple of bees, and a running rabbit. I love the way the elephant turned out, even if it took a lot of sculpting and thinking.
First, I created a "skeleton" or simple structure to build the elephant on. Then I went ahead and World-Edited the mass in diamond blocks so I could later "paint" on the colors. After a lot of hand adjustments and smoothing of the obvious spheres, I selected a couple of blocks that complimented each other and used the World Edit paint tool. Again, I then went over and added other blocks and smoothed the surface by hand to make the build look natural and not too stiff. Then, I went ahead and built a rabbit, some flowers and strands of grass, some ferns, and the bees.
