You can also look at the bottom of it and if you go in you will go back to the Overworld.

I have also a unbreakable diamond pickaxe and a sharpened sword.

uh unbreaking just means moar durability not never break thats a superpickaxe hack for servers.

once you jump in the portal do you just get the credits and then thats your world finished or after the credits do you come back to your world?

You will come back to the normal world after the ''credits''.
