Description
Escape Elm Street is an adventure map me and my friend started working back in 2014. The map is based on a game we used to play which is called Escape from Elm Street (you can find it here). You probably already figured this is about Freddy Krueger and the movie A Nightmare on Elm Street. But if you haven't seen it yet, please stop whatever you're doing and go see it right now because it's hella awesome.
If you like custom textures and models, puzzles, a bit of parkour, and a good storyline, you should definitely play the map. If you happen to find any bugs or in case you have suggestions, please comment/PM and I'll add you to the credits.
Rules/Tips
1) Don't use hacks or any kind of mod that destroys the map
2) It's strongly recommended to play this map with only one player
3) Turn on your in game sound 🔊
4) Set your render distance at 8 or higher
How to install this map
1) Download it here
2) Go to %appdata% (this will open a folder called Roaming)
3) Find and open ".minecraft"
4) Open "saves" and extract the folder inside this .zip file to "saves"
5) Open your Minecraft launcher and select version 1.16.3. This map is not suitable for any earlier version of the game.
Updates
Eventhough the current version is finished, this map is still and will always be in progress, which means we'll update it every once in a while. Most of the updates are just bug fixes and small changes.
You can find more information about the updates by scrolling down and checking out the update logs of this submission.
Epilogue
Like I said before, if you have any suggestions or found any bugs, message me on here or comment below. I'll add you in the credits.
If you enjoyed the map (or if you're just in a very generous mood), please give it a diamond. Thanks in advance ❤️
Tutorials & reviews
There are currently three videos made for the map, which are all really outdated, but they might be interesting. Huge spoiler alert (obviously).

Old videos
The most recent video (for major update 6, so already outdated) was made by CrazyCowMM. It's a let's play video/walkthrough of 13 minutes long and may help you if you get stuck. It obviously comes with spoilers.
This is a review of the map by GermRage. He didn't complete the map and it's already outdated as heck, but it gives you a good view of the first stage of the map.
So somewhere around May/June 2017 I found this video and it somehow got 440.000 views? Lmao, anyway, Captain Tate reviewed a really outdated version of this map. It's still worth watching if you're curious about what the earlier versions of the map looked like, though I recommend playing the map first.
