I totally believe that the land itself shouldn't be touched more than necessary ... but that nature-scaping is totally necessary. Complete contradiction? Maybe. What I mean is that I do not intend to "landscape" until it is absolutely necessary and only where it is vital to the castle and its pieces that I need.
So. This is my first real "project".
I began with the seed "eshva" which, my happy coincidence, yielded a very lush landscape with ponds and lakes, a huge variety of trees and tons of already-grown crops.
Beyond the seed, I intend to shape the land in 5 separate areas - plots - that are centered around the elements of air, fire, water, earth, and spirit. 5 plots total, each completely and drastically different in layout and feel, but each tightly incorporating the very lush landscape created with the eshva seed.
Step one (done) - Plot 1 is complete with safety-conscious mine, focused on the Earth element with many building sites lush green and elevated. In the front of the plot is the entrance to the mine complete with a starter chest (filled only with items gathered during bioscaping) and starter crafting table. At the back of the plot, beyond the ponds, is a cobblestone path that leads to the back of Plot 2 - quite a hike away.
Step two (started) - Plot 2 is begun, focusing on the element of Air. In the process of bioscaping, focusing on natural land archs and bridges connecting tall mountains reaching into the clouds.

Finalized texture packs from blocks to art to light so that everything has a distinctly Oriental feel to it. Plan to share full pack once tweaks are done on it specifically after some game play.
