After getting a hold on a 1.7.3 Beta client, I decided to go ahead and find the Far Lands, and convert the map to 1.6! As of right now, it's fully operational and working!
Due to the old vs. new world generation, it's only a portion of the far lands, but it's still quite an amazing place to be. Co-ordinates of the start of the far lands are in the picture, in case you spawn elsewhere.
(Note: I posted this because some friends of mine were playing it with me on a my private server, and I wanted to give them access to the world save.)

I also saw a Cross (The cross) inside it
go to the nether portal
face the far lands
go in the right to were you are
turn around
and you should see a cross
