AU Profile: Later members of the Izumi-class also saw themselves being converted into two types of aircraft carriers during the 60s, with one class,- the 朱雀 or Suzaku-class,- following in the footsteps of Japan's earlier fleet carriers, Akagi and Hiryu, and the other,- the 青竜 or Seiryu-class,- being a development of the armoured carriers Taiho and Shinano.

Absolutely gourgeous man, I love it. You know, I’ve always loved the wood-like aesthetic of these old Japanese ww2 aircraft carriers, the red rising sun in the middle is really the nice touch that makes the whole thing look even better. Good job man!

Nope! Everything I build is 1:1 unless I write otherwise :) I build on the assumption that 1 block = 1 meter, so these two clock out at about 410~ metres.

Absolutely incredible! I love the attention to detail in these kinds of builds, but yours is amazing! May I ask, how did you add the water around the ship? It doesn't look like normal Minecraft water to me. Shader, maybe? +1 Diamond +1 Sub

While I do use shaders normally in Minecraft, these renders were made using Chunky which was recommended to me by _Namsek_ (who you should definitely check out as he is a far more detailed builder than I am). Chunky has a water world setting which can simulate water as can be seen in the renders above :)

I'm familiar with Chunky (used it on my most recent build) but I had no idea that I could simulate water! Thanks a lot!

The only caveat, I will say about the water world setting is that it doesn't fill in air. If you have a selected area with air and activate the water world setting, it will simulate water to the world height you choose to set it at everywhere else, but will leave the air in the selected area untouched. To get around this, you have to have your build in water first, then, once in Chunky, to match the world height of the simulated water with the water in your actual build.
