In Minecraft, there is a special particle called a footstep. The particle doesn't seem to be used in vanilla Minecraft, so I added it!

Hello everyone, Pigott3 here. Today I have implemented the footstep particle using only four command blocks! walk around, and a foot print will appear on the ground! after a while the footsteps will dissapear. Jumping won't make footprints, but walking, crouching, and sprinting will. Try it out by downloading the map from the link!
