It's been a while since I did anything here on PMC, but I've had a puzzle map called "Four Blocks" sitting around in my saves for the last month or two and I've decided to finalize it and upload it here.
Four Blocks is a puzzle map made up of eight separate levels or rooms. In each room, you are given exactly four blocks - no more, no less - and must figure out how to place, break, craft and use those blocks to activate a redstone signal. Sound simple? You'll be surprised!
The rooms are not arranged by difficulty, so don't worry if you start getting stuck early on. Also note that many items have custom NBT data, which is used for part of the puzzle aspects, and you should closely examine every item you acquire to see if it can break or be placed on anything.
The map is designed for singleplayer, but should function with multiple people just as fine.
Gameplay Rules
- Play in adventure mode.
- Monsters shouldn't spawn, and it's fairly hard to die, so don't worry about difficulty.
- Depending on your level of puzzle skill, the map should take around half an hour to complete.
Note
Four Blocks was originally built in 1.8, and was upgraded t 1.9 when it came out. It should be compatible with all 1.9.X versions of Minecraft, but may suffer from poor optimization from time to time. I apologize for any loss of enjoyment this may cause.
