Gateway is a simple, down-to-earth puzzle map where you must figure out how to open the right gates and progress through the levels. Every room is a puzzle in itself, often requiring the player to retrace their steps and keep their eyes and ears open. Trial and error is not just recommended, it's a requirement, as the solution to a puzzle may not be immediately obvious. And don't be afraid to take time to look around before jumping to a conclusion - this is a map to test your problem solving, not your speed.

Gateway is designed for just ONE PLAYER. However, you won't break the map if you play with more players - it's just sort of cheating. If you would like to play cooperatively with friends and solve problems together, I recommend one player remains in Adventure mode to perform puzzle tasks, and any other players are placed in Spectator mode so they can still give suggestions and help, but not directly interact with the map. If people like the map and would like to see a two-player version, I might consider putting together a Co-Op sequel with a new set of puzzles and maybe some new mechanics.

Gateway should take about 15 minutes of your time, more or less depending on your abilities, and how casually you like to play such maps. As this is the first public Minecraft project I've created in several years, I'd be very interested to hear your feedback on the map when you're done. The same goes for any issues or bugs - I'm fairly confident I've ironed out any edge cases, but if you do encounter a problem that makes the map unfinishable, please let me know right away.

Play on Peaceful difficulty and Adventure mode. Gateway was made for Minecraft release version 1.14 (though it was assembled in the 1.14 snapshots), and will not work on older versions.
