This project started out as an exploration of making historically accurate labyrinths in Minecraft. We previously made a square Roman labyrinth, but Cretan labyrinths are circular so this was more of a challenge. We used WorldEdit to create a series of concentric circles, then (working from pictures on the web) we changed this and that until the labyrinth took on the right shape. We are a mom-and-son team, and this was the mom's idea up to this point.
Then we started walking around in the labyrinth together, and the mom had the idea to put some signs in the labyrinth to make it into a sort of funny adventure for our husband/dad. So together we thought up the signs and the mom typed them in. There is no path to figure out, but the signs create a little "mystery" that gets worked out in a funny way at the end.
Anyway, hope you like it! We had a lot of fun making it. Someday we want to (okay, the mom wants to) make a larger medieval labyrinth that covers a vast area. (Most of our "vast area" ideas never get done...) Feel free to copy the labyrinth (without signs) if you need one in one of your projects. If there is interest we could put the Roman labyrinth up too (it doesn't have any funny signs).
