On the journey of building Alleron City, Galaxy SX was key in increasing the detail and functionality in my builds. Galaxy S was upgraded to Galaxy SX when Minecraft released Redstone Lamps in the 1.2.1 update. This update in 2012 also introduced, ocelots, Iron golems, jungle biomes and much more.
Galaxy SX was released in April of 2012 and featured my 2nd 1:1 scale build which was the Titanic, built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the ship. This map soon became my main building map and the Galaxy S map was abandoned.
The downtown core of this map utilized redstone lamps in each building, all controlled by a central power station which you can use to toggle the lights on and off in each building. Fireworks were also introduced in this map and features a great show, located near the airport. This map also includes terrain generation created with WorldPainter, to create more natural looking spaces and shorelines.
Galaxy SX also has much more to see and explore! Unfortunately over the years and different versions of Minecraft some chunks have been reset, so you'll encounter some weird looking areas if you download this map.
