The Pointed Arch is the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about Gothic Architecture and is necessary for the whole structure to hold. Since Gothic Architecture has become one of the more popular building styles in Minecraft, I want to show you guys how to construct them.

First, you need to lay down the foundation of your structure and mark the ways your Arches are gonna go.
Next, you take the walls or pillars to the hight the Archways start.
Mark the starting points and count the distance, including one ending of the Arch (it's best to use an uneven distance), double it and add the other ending Block. You need to construct half a circle around each ending point (in my case, I'm using a diameter of 21 Blocks (10*2+1) for the smaller one and a diameter of 45 Blocks (22*2+1)for the main one).

Minecraft Circle Generator:

Cut both circles at their intersection and the remainings will leave a perfect Pointed Arch, constructed just like in the 11th Century. You can add Cobblestone Walls to make them look stronger and more realistic.

I hope I've been able to help you and if you want me to do Tutorials on other characteristics of Gothic Architecture, please let me know in the Comments below!

Quick question, where did you get the 10 and the 22 from? I'm very confused as to how you figured that out. I've tried following this and spent 3 hour trying to build 1 arch and got no where. I would love the help.

I'll try explaining more briefly: you've got the two origin points of the Arch, for example two pillars. You want to create a circle around each origin point (the red wool) so they meet right above the middle. For that, the circles have to have double the diameter of the distance covered. Take my smaller arch for example: the dictance, including both origin points is 10 Blocks. You take double the distance and since the origin point is right in the middle of the circle, you add another block. Therefore, the total diameter of the circle would be 2x10+1 or 21 in total. You do that around each origin point and both circles will create a perfect pointed arch in the middle, also marked in red wool in the pictures. Hope this helps!

Not bad, but it can improve here and there. For example add text to the pictures, saying which step you do. It is more of an addition than a neccessary thing though.
