Harlaxton Manor, in Harlaxton, Lincolnshire, England was built in 1837 by architects Anthony Salvin (exterior) and William Burn (interior) for a man named Gregory Gregory who had inherited it from his distant relation, Sir Daniel de Ligne. The house is now the home of "The British Campus of the University of Evansville", of Evansville, Indiana. They keep it in great condition and host a variety of events there.
The mansion has been the setting for several noteable films, my favorite being The Haunting, where it played the role of "Hill House".
