Presenting Hearthveil - Lost in thought

Hearthveil - Lost in thought has been the recent toil of the Pandora's Blocks build team members. Produced over the past month, it features multiple fascinating attractions, including a flying whale, a draconic airship, a gigantic stone golem, and more...

Here is a little story.

As our traveller's mind slips below a standing of conciousness, his thoughts begin to wade. In a sureal burst he is taken into the depths of his mind, down to the core of his being. It is here where his true nature flourishes- his memories are clear and his emotions ever molding. Taken aback by his surroundings he whispers out.

"What is this place?"

A faint beating replies- his mind sinks deeper, releasing his concern, his pain. No longer does he worry or even care "what" our little traveller is to a completeness; Lost In Thought.

This deserved to win. Blockworks' build was not detailed or very impressive at all while actually playing on it... who judges these contests? :/
Blockworks had a disappointing ending in the nether contest, as the got out of the top 15 in their project, even though I believed it was top 5, although both projects were great and creative, judges somehow prefer builds that are completely together. Such as large castles and such.

The Judges are some of Minecrafts oldest and more highly regarded builders within the community who understand the concepts of building. Not everything is about a lot of finer details, the blockworks build was more about larger details and only won over this build due to it's concept and originality. The Judges haven't made any wrong choices, they just made their own choice, like you yourself have your own. Not everyone has to agree.
Although I don't disagree with the ruling, I'm completely dissonant with you on your opinion regarding the judges. Quote: "The Judges are some of Minecrafts oldest and more highly regarded builders within the community who understand the concepts of building.", but this is simply not the case. Lightbane, for example, was a low-level plot-builder on Mithrintia, a server which died several months ago, and Jetra is moreso a blogger than anything else. AyreTV runs a fairly well-known building channel, but none of his creations even compare to the talent of the recent build teams. Although I'll skip an explanation of how the creations of Silverleopard, Zeranny, etc. verge only on the mediocre, I will point out that Gazamo, and iRapp are capable builders and judges. Altogether, it's true that the judges are not in the wrong for having placed their judgement, and a fair judgement it is, but to call them all "highly regarded builders" is beyond ridiculous.

I chose each member of the judging team myself and consider them to be some of the most talented and most respected members of the building community. I think you'll find most members of the community will agree with me. If you don't share that opinion, sorry to hear that, but publicly badmouthing them is unnecessary.

Lightbane is part of the Mithrintia Buildteam and still plays on the server, which obviously hasn't died as you can see. AyreTV or Lilihierax as he's been known has also been a part of Mith before, for quite an extensive period. I know both personally (being from Mithrintia myself) and know them to not only be capable as builders and judges but exceptional in said field. Though I don't know Zeranny or Jera, I understand that they would have been around for a long time within the community and are more than capable as judges. SilverLeopard is another exceptional builder, his works never fail to impress me, never have. It is not beyond ridiculous to say that these people are highly regarded, when they are.

okay good i was about to cri
The reason blockworks won was because of the awesome concept. this entry may have been more detailed but concept and uniqueness usually means the build is better than a more detailed build.

i really love the idea and how it's not ''heaven''-like (even though heaven-like maps would fit the title the most) and just perfect
winner i think
My favorite map by far... how did you make the grass sway and the walk through (the way it rotated smoothly and was smooth in general, not the map itself) did'nt look like it was made in MC? How did you do it?
The shaders mod does it.
