For about a solid week, JacobKazias and I worked on the task of redoing the Ashfield Interchange in Greenfield. Along with the interchange, we also had the task of basically bringing the entire highway back up to par with current standards.
The Ashfield Interchange was originally created by THEJESTR for the 0.4.5 update of Greenfield. It has been over three years since that update has been released, and some things needed redoing and updating. He had told me to just fix some parts, but that soon turned into me redoing it due to how much needed to be changed. I took his original design and took out the majority of the problems. One thing THEJESTR asked me specifically to take out was the random loop that was part of one of the ramps. After removing that I began working on the new layout of the entire interchange, and at that point, I was just going to redo it completely, rather than just updating specific parts.
In the end, the new interchange looks a lot better than its predecessor... I am really pleased with its outcome, and I can't wait for you guys to see it in the next release of Greenfield.
