The lost Franklin expedition of 1845, consisting of HMS Terror and HMS Erebus. Two of the most technologically advanced ships of their time set out to discover the North West passage, one of the last blanks spots on the map. They were last spotted sailing into arctic waters, their wrecks were discovered some 5 years ago. To this day we don't know the fate of the ships' crew.
