Hey Guys!
I've been working on this map for a few weeks. Hogwarts has always changed so much over the films, and this project aims to replicate the castle from Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets.
A few notable differences that seperate this and other versions of the castle include:
- The hall of reception which takes the place of the courtyard and entrance hall
- The boathouse
- The bridge
- The central tower
I've done the main exterior of the castle and I'm currently debating whether or not I will do any of the interior. As I've built this from the ground up I don't currently have a finish date but as this castle is less complicated than the other versions it won't take long to finish.
More from me and this project will come soon! Including more pictures.
Thanks!

Lighting : by Benomaleno 06/07/2019 5:45:21 amJun 7th, 2019
I've changed the cover photo for the submission to a photo which I think best represents the way that this castle is viewed in the first few years. This involved overhauling the lighting across the castle. Let me know what you guys think!

while i think its not that clear in the Philosopher's Stone....
The hall of reception is actually the very bottom of the moving stair cases. the stair case that is shown in the movie leads up to the ground floor entrance hall and great hall.
in the film you see the boats sail into an cave (they don't use the boat house at all).
you do have to assume they travel through the cave and up through the Dungeons however.....
that however depends based on my own opinion, how i interpret the cut scenes and how i would of done it through
The Hall of Reception is the entry to the large main tower, that has the moving stair case inside it. It also has seperate normal staircases inside it that don't move, as well
The boats don't sail in to a cave, we actually don't see where they sail in to, but given the boat house is on the lake, you'd assume logically that that's where they dock.
