Although based on a male sketch, the sculpture turned out female. I also lacked the patience to replicate the subtle leaning pose from the sketch. So it turned out too strident. Shut up, Chim, and let them enjoy it in a simple way. Alright. <3

I think androgyny suits Hydromancer best. I don't necessarily feel the need to apply gender or sex to a sculpture, unless it has relevance to the message it's meant to portray.

EDIT: I need to draw the face for myself. The blocks form a very specific image in my mind that I want to share.

You may be right. The sketch leans toward androgyny. "Flight" is the most androgynous of my sculptures. But as a student of this craft, I need to practice male and female proportions. I like androgyny, and I do have specific androgynous characters I would still like to sculpt, but I also find beauty in narrow-shouldered, wide hipped, pure women, as well as in wide-shouldered, narrow-hipped, pure men.
