DESCRIPTION

Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the North American school of magic appearing in the Harry Potter and the Wizarding World series of books, films and lore. The granite castle is located atop the highest peak of Mount Greylock, found in Western Massachusetts, and just like the more known Hogwarts, the school is enchanted, making it unplottable on any map. Ilvermorny accepted students of any magical blood status. The main founder of the school, Isolt Sayre, originated from Ireland, and founded the school and one of the four school houses in late 1627.

Notable people include:

Isolt Sayre
A witch originating from Ireland, she founded Ilvermorny School with her husband, James Steward, and their two adoptive sons, Chadwick and Webster Boot. Isolt is a distant relative of the Gaunt family, and thus, a distant relative of Salazar Slytherin - this allowed her to understand serpents, though not speak Parseltongue herself.

Seraphina Picquery
The President of the Magical Congress of the United States of America during the 1920s. She was in office when Gellert Grindelwald was imprisoned in the USA. Being once a student at Ilvermorny, she was a member of the Horned Serpent house.

Porpentina Goldstein
A former Auror working for the MACUSA, who accompanied Newt Scamander during his time in America, as well as his future endeavours. This American witch married Scamander a few years later.

MAP INFO

I have based the map on the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and built it to be as close to the descriptions of the school in the books and lore as possible. Having limited information, however, I added features to make the place more interesting and magical, again, basing most of it on what is in the books.
The map includes the castle itself, somewhat resembling the look in the trailer for the school's origin story. The castle includes various parts, including a building dedicated to certain subjects and each house common room, the Ceremony Hall and a number of towers. The majority of the castle is built using granite, as described in the lore. The school also includes a hospital ward, library and the dome chamber in which four statues representing each house stand - the location First Years are sorted in. The biome is set to recreate the appearance of the previously mentioned lore origin trailer. On the exterior, you will also find a lake, home to the horned serpent Isolt Sayre occasionally communicated with, the Quidditch pitch, the snakewood tree with "healing properties", and the statues of each school founder. You will find many small details to enhance the magical experience, not to mention other little Easter Eggs. And those are just some of the many features.
