InfiniSalmon II: Arrival of the Guardians is out now! Download & play it at http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/map-infinisalmon-ii---arrival-of-the-guardians/ (After you've played this map, of course)

UPDATE #8: A minor update to the map has been released, with some changes and fixes. Check the update log for more information.

NOTE: This is a singleplayer map played on 1.10. For best experience, use the default resource pack. Possible to play with other resource packs, as long as they don't change any models. If you see something strange and you are using a custom resource pack, take off the resource pack.
Note for OptiFine users: If you play my maps and wish to use OptiFine, you are required to go to Options > Video Settings > Quality > Connected Textures and you want to make sure that's on OFF, otherwise there will be issues with certain parts of the map.

You are a night guard of a valley, and your job is to keep everything OK in the valley. Now a stranger visits the vacation hut of the valley, and has a problem. You need to help him, and that is where your adventure begins.

This map is about fighting mobs spawned via spawners, exploring and having a boss fight at the end.

If you find any bugs, please tell me. If you enjoyed the map, please tell me. If you made a video about the map, please tell me. I would be very happy to watch someone playing my map. Also, yes, you can share this map with anyone you want, as long as the link directs to this specific page. Also, I would like to see someone making a trailer for this map. Thank you.

If you see anything strange happening in the boss fight (I won't spoil it too much), try relogging. There is a bug that happened to a few players playing this map, but it's really just a visual glitch, and it doesn't change anything. It never occoured to me, though. I believe relogging should fix the problem.

Map made by SpakeMiner.

P.S, this map was made especially for my cat, which is actually called Skipper. Also, he was a tuxedo cat, just like in this map.

Hello, I tested the map and honestly... It's not terrible... There are some things to fix!

The map is very short, too short! In 10 minutes, I finished the map and it's always the same thing, you walk. And it’s too easy…
Walk in the forest, ok. Walk in the cave, ok. Swim in the water, ok... And fight a boss which can't even kill you! And, and...

Ok... Step by step:
First, the lobby is... weird, It's just a 3x3 box :O
Then, you spawned somewhere, you don't know what you have to do. I entered in the house. Let's talk about the house! It's ugly, an old wooden house, did you build it in survival mode? Then, there is a resource pack, why do you use it just for the boss/music... You can create furniture with the resource pack, use it! Same thing for your “you”, put a model instead of an armorstand, it will better I think! The cat can stay a real cat ^^

After that, your stuff… It’s nice to put 3 potions but what do you do if you drink them all? Put the water breathing on the helmet. And finally, you start the map.

You walk… You walk… You avoid mobs… Why did you put weapons if we can’t use it, if we have to avoid the mobs? You should have named your map “Walk and avoid zombies!”
So, you found the cave, what’s next? You walk and avoid mobs… again! At the end, there is a gigantic dirt hole (World Edit or McEdit, I don’t know) and you just put redstone torches.
THEN, the same thing, you swim, you swim, you avoid guardians, I have even not taken the time to use my pickaxe and break the spawners… Finally, after all of that, you found a salmon and you don’t know why but the cat became mad and wanted to destroy you. Let’s kill it!

You WALK, AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN! Ah, I forgot, you avoid mobs and you don’t use your weapons too. After, you found the cat. The model of the boss is cool but… why does the cat shoot fireballs? The fireballs remove you 1/2 heart… You can’t die except if you stay next to it and take… WITHER DAMAGE, why? You can’t use your sword, so what do you do? Just the bow…
You killed the cat and we see it in the house, why not but… It’s already the end? I thought there were lots of things to discover but no, it’s the end. I saw you made InfiniSalmon II but why? Just mix the I and the II to make a real adventure map! ;)

I have to go, so I can’t finish my text but there are some things to fix ^^

Play all the sequels, you'll understand the lobby better then.
It's a hut, not a house, for god's sake. It's intended to look ugly.
I prefer not to create custom furniture, not because it's hard work (Which it really isn't) but because I think too many custom models in one map is something overrated. Also the "me" must stay an armor stand because I can pose armor stands in more ways than I can with models (With custom models you can only rotate objects in -45, -22.5, 0, 22.5 or 45, which really isn't a lot).
I can't "put water breathing on the helmet", it doesn't work that way.
I would've named the map "Walk and avoid zombies" if there wasn't obviously a story in it, which there is, by the way, if you didn't realize. Also I gave the players weapons so they don't feel unprotected when they explore, and also for the boss fight.
He gets mad because the cat food "I" gave him was old and rotten and he really wanted the InfiniSalmon. Also you don't kill it, you just calm him down. I know it looks like you're killing him but if I made it so you have to tame him it'd be kind of lame and I wanted an action-packed boss.

Actually, you don't avoid mobs because I disabled mob spawning when you come back from the cave.
Ah, so I guess InfiniSalmon II is also "not a real adventure map", even though clearly everything about it is adventure.
If you don't like this style of map, just summarize it like that. This is what the map is about. Exploring. If you don't like exploring, just say that. You don't have to repeatedly say that the map is all about avoiding the enemies, because yes, that is literally what the map is about. If you don't like that being the idea of the map, then I'm afraid I can't fix that, because that's how the map works.

Ah ok ^^

But why too many custom models in one map is overrated. I agree when the models contain too many elements, when it "kills" the decoration but just simple models with 4-5 elements to make for example a bed (very simple things like the bowl of the cat). And I think it's not exploration, you just follow a path

You should kill the mobs when you come back because the mods you avoided before stay there and put a CustomNameVisible:1 on the cat ;)

Well, there's already a bed in Minecraft so why make another custom one? That just makes it look like custom model showcase, which is not what I want. I just want simple decoration.
Technically you're exploring the world I built. Yes, there is a direct path, but think of it as a tour guide; Someone tells you exactly where to go, but you're still sort of exploring places.

Also I did kill the mobs when you come back. I just did /difficulty peaceful for when you come back.
Why put CustomNameVisible:1? Also, which cat, Skipper or SKIPPER? :P

The small Skipper :p

I'm sure I met mobs when I came back, weird o,o

And the bed was a bad example, but ok ^^

Hm, I might put CustomNameVisible:1 on him. Not now though, taking a small break.

I have absolutely no idea why those mobs stayed there. I've tested it myself and seen other people play it and it had never occurred that the mobs stayed.

Tried out the map. Wayy to hard at the guardian part. once I enter the arena, I lose about 5 hearts 1 hit. It is practically impossible to beat. but otherwise, good job.

That's why you should read the tips I give. Ignore the guardians, otherwise you'll die 100%.

Oh, that area. The trick in that area is to ignore all the spawners too and just go for the dropper in the middle. Also, you need to do the previous parts quickly, otherwise lots of guardians will build up in there.
