BACKGROUND

An aerial shield of fire, the Lightning gives heart to any a platoon when it blasts into the sky. Raining explosive death upon infantry with its netherconverters, it is one of the more feared vessels of the mysterious Iyectan fleet. Designed with maximum impact in mind, an engine issue producing small-scale sonic booms was left unchecked as a weapon in morale. The shields give no indication of their presence, either- until enemy attacks vanish into thin air.
Generals have taken care not to deploy these vessels against anything other than exposed human meatbags, however, as they are barely capable of damaging anything less squishy.
