Konnichiwa! Have you ever wanted Japan recreated in Minecraft?Well, this is your time to take a walk through the lands of the rising sun. This map can be used to play survival (not a 100% survival experience as the map hasn't got structrues) but it's mostly designed for servers or creative mode.

Here are the highlights of this map:
  • Approximately 5000x5000. (Notice that 60% of that area is water)
  • Climate variations: Biomes, trees and ground cover change depending if you're in the south, middle or north of Japan and also depending on height and degree of inclination of a slope!
  • Realistic topography: Everything is where you expected them to be, I used a heightmap that I made with some tools. (It took me a lot of time and effort to do this)
  • Realistic caves: I'm using a cave preset that I made using WP, so now the caves are going to be way more realistic.

Additional Notes

  • If you ever use this map on a server or on a video, please, give credit to me.
  • This is a FREE map, DO NOT EVER TRY TO OBTAIN MONEY FROM IT (like linking this map through adfly), you'll be against Lentebriesje's and I work.
  • Coasts aren't as nice as they should be, for that reason, the map comes with the WorldPainter project, IF YOU FIND THE WAY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, PLEASE,TELL ME. (I want to offer the BEST version of the map possible)
  • If you are going to use this map on a server or make any cool construction on it, please tell me, I'd love to see what do you do with my map!

if you would of used 377,962,000 blocks your map would be a 1:1 scale but you have a 25 000 000 blocks map that's still a pretty big map. great work.

I'm not a big fan of 'world' maps, but this one is one of the bests! I think its pretty realistic ^-^ Great job!
