Jerry Game (BEDROCK & JAVA)

I’m excited to share my latest creation for the Minecraft Jam Competition on Planet Minecraft: a fully designed arcade cabinet dedicated to Jerry! This project was a fun challenge and a great opportunity to combine some retro vibes with Minecraft’s unique blocky style. I wanted to create something that captured the essence of Jerry, the character, in a fun and interactive way – all within the world of Minecraft!

Key Features of My Arcade Cabinet Design:

  Fully Custom Design:
  The arcade cabinet is built with vibrant colors and details that pay tribute to Jerry’s unique personality and style. I’ve incorporated custom textures and block choices to give it that old-school arcade feel while ensuring it fits seamlessly into Minecraft’s aesthetic.

  Character Integration:
  Jerry is a fan-favorite character, so I’ve made sure to reflect his iconic features in the design. From the pixel-art display of Jerry on the screen to the details around the arcade's frame, every part of the design celebrates his character.

  Authentic Arcade Details:
  I’ve added all the classic arcade features, like buttons. (although it doesn’t exactly “play” a game).
  
• 
  Atmospheric Lighting:
  Neon-style lighting surrounds the arcade cabinet, giving it a true arcade ambiance.
  
• Custom Jerry Artwork:
  At the heart of the design is a custom pixel-art representation of Jerry! This brings the arcade cabinet to life and gives it a personal touch, capturing the character in a pixelated form similar to the games in classic arcades. Not to mention plenty of Jerrys from the community can be found all over the cabinet.

Inspiration and Design Process:

For this build, I was inspired by classic arcade machines from the 80s and 90s, with a modern Minecraft twist. I wanted to create something nostalgic yet fresh, combining both old and new gaming culture. The idea of using Jerry as the character for this build made it even more fun, and it was great to experiment with pixel art and map making to make the project come together.

Building the cabinet itself was a blast. I spent time figuring out how to get the proportions just right, and I’m really happy with how it turned out! The hardest part was making sure the lighting effects matched the arcade vibe without overcomplicating things. I also spent time working on the pixel art to ensure Jerry’s likeness was instantly recognizable on the arcade screen.

This arcade cabinet design is a mix of my love for retro gaming and Minecraft creativity.
