In the middle of the sands there rises a lonesome temple, securing below a jinn - the most powerful being among the seven deserts. Guarded by jinns spell of blazing whirlwinds, the temple greets anyone brave enough to roam the desert and rewards every soul daring to sacrifice their wealth.


The temple was built in a few days by me, working my hands off all alone. It started off with a rough idea and a platform, which slowly rose into one of the entrance towers. Soon the style with many domes and circles was established. After the main build was complete (All with vanilla minecraft only) I used a bit of MCEdit and WorldEdit to place the temple on a hill, after that the path with towers was added.

Whirlwinds look amazing, interior is small but works, and decorations look good, but the towers look really weird up close, like some kind of deformed pig face. I suppose they are on top and not designed to be seen up close, but still.

Pareidolia works wonders to the towers, I guess :D

I can't really see the faces when I look at it, but oh well. I don't even know how to take that into account

And whirlwinds... I'm honestly sad that they are the most popular element of the build, as I've spent almost no time nor effort on those, the just... came naturally.

Another fellow solo builder. Very nice build. Are you planning on touching up the description?

P.S. God those spirals must have taken a while to do if you made them by hand xD

I guess it could be a good idea to improve the desription, but I'm too exhausted to do so. And no, spirals didn't take long. I'm quite expirienced at building circles and what not

Love the build, especially the spirals on top of the towers.
did you make the spirals using //g or did you make them by hand? and could we get a closer look at them?

The spirals were made entirely by hand. I'll take a close-up right away!
