This is a very large open pit type mine I have been working on recently. I always thought the look of these type of mines was really cool and couldn't find anyone else that attempted to make one yet so I figured I would give it a try. I didn't base this one on any particular place but just went with the general style. Here are some real open pit mines.
Features:
Mine is stocked with all ore and rare materials specific to a set level.
Ramps, ladders and obsidian encased tunnels connect all the levels.
Underground 13 cart stacker/dispenser with quick load option.
Working spiral excavation tower cart loop.
Forest, meadow, desert, and swamp(wip) biome areas around the mine.
A few starting buildings along with a partial wall.
Lots of things are still a wip or haven't been started yet.

The pit is 180x210 at its widest point and 107m deep, the land around it to which the ore extends is 400x400.

-Made lots of progress on the swamp biome area in one of the corners.
-Added lots of trees to the surrounding areas and cleaned a few parts up.
-Started a small section that will have a canyon run thru it.
-Created a wall around a few of the buildings up.
-Added a cart path to the surface.
-Added a few cartographer pics and updated both files.
