This world was devasted by wars, survivors had to go live in a floating island.

Why it was there, how it was flying and how they got there remains unkown, as they did not keep any journey log.

Unable to fetch any of the barren world resources, they were forced to use, protect and develop the sparse nature available on the rock.

As social animals, they created cities and a brand new society there, where everything was made to make life easier, but without weakening the fragile soil they stepped on. This doctrine was called technonaturalism. The island Lux Insula.


The four required ways of surviving are the following:

Energy:

Automatically orientable solar panels generate energy during the daytime. Rotating feet warranty an optimal sun orientation at any time of the day, hence increasing the panels production.

Wind :

The wind pushes a balloon that is bound to an axis and a powerful spring, with a Redstonium magnet inside the spring. Balloon movements change with the wind direction. The balloon movements make the spring move, which generates a current thanks to the Lenz-Faraday law.

All in all, both solar and wind energy is stored in Redstonium-Liquid glowstone batteries.

Water

Recovery basins are laid at the edge of the island. The water is then filtered using gravel coal sand filters and stored in a tank near the filtering system. Waste water is also filtered and stored in case of shortages.

Food :

Fruits and vegetables production follow the rythm of the seasons. The meat is consumed according the stocks of cattles and game meat.
