"Welcome to the Maverick refueling hub. This station is in low orbit around the planet Gycron below us, a planet almost entirely covered in molten rock. This station features a force field, 4 ion turbines, an observation deck, living quarters, and a carbon-nanotube tether to keep it fastened onto the planet's surface. This is an essential stop for there are very few stations in the sector. Please enjoy your stay."

This was a 13 hour project, I made most of it by hand but you can tell I had some help from MCEdit which I had just installed. I added a handful of extras so feel free to explore. I plan on turning it into a quest type level, where several ships are infested with monsters.

ATTENTION: Keep the rendering distance at normal, otherwise a wall will appear just outside of your vision, which was something I couldn't get rid of.

Additional Notes



The texture pack I used is Misa's 64 (HD) pack, but it looks good in pretty much any.

Mmm, perhaps add an automated mining station on the surface and have it space-elevator up minerals seived from the molten rock? It would add a little to the station owners bottom line.

That would be fantastic, thing is I made this a LONG time ago, I'll definitely take your input into consideration though, I think I plan to remake it.

btw, can i use this in one of my maps that i release? I actually removed the top and the docks and edited the tether so its not an exact copy. btw if you put it inthe nether, dont use the beds. they blu up that entire portion of the ship :( but i rebuilt it :)
