Finally, it's here! I have built an amazing McMansion!

This grandiose house features:

o A large entrance and foyer,
o a large living room with a high ceiling (and a balcony of the second floor hallway),
o multiple smaller rooms that could be sitting rooms, a dining room, a kitchen, etc.,
o a back porch, and
o 10 bedrooms! Gee whiz!

I have built two other McMansions before (both on the Iciclecraft server), but this is by far the best one.
Feel free to paste it into your own Minecraft world. However, if you use it in multiplayer, please credit me as the builder.

Additional Notes

This house took about 5 hours to build.

What they mean is that it is too plain, and needs more detail. However, I deliberately leave it plain so that other people can add their own detail XD

well maybe a bit more exterior detail. as i said before check out my 2nd lake house (250 sub special) to see a similar style build :) maybe slightly more realistic materials like a sandstone or cobblestone or you can use different planks to represent veneers on the sides of houses. you have a lot of potential though and i tihnk if u keep building and look at some irl houses u could be putting out some amazing stuff :D

Thanks for your suggestions! However, I deliberately make my houses plain so that other people can add their own designs. I am okay using birch planks for walls, but I usually prefer to reserve other planks for floors, ceilings, and roofs. I don't like to use cobblestone because it is overused and doesn't look very nice in buildings, and stone brick gives too much of an "institutional" feel to the building. I also don't like brick for the same reason (though I would use it if it weren't such a bright red). I've never tried sandstone before - maybe I will sometime, though I wouldn't want to use it in the desert for obvious reasons.

Almost all of my house designs are based off of houses that I see in real life, except for the rare case, like this one, where I design it myself. In fact, if I didn't study real-life houses, then mine would still look like fat ugly squares with flat roofs!

Your houses are VERY nice! Keep up the good work! (and I'll keep up mine)

Hey!
The house is not bad, but I recommend using a texture park or a variety of materials to make the house pop more.
Not bad though!
