Updated cause I noticed I'd missed one row of windows entirely and they didn't lead into any room at all, made a room for them and fixed some other minor things. Now it should be final.

This is a mansion based on the early medieval Romanesque building style, made in creative Tekkit.

I hadn't played Tekkit for ages, and I wanted to try out creative mode in there, especially the micro blocks mod, since I've never tried building things as such in Tekkit (last time I played it back in 2011 I just screwed around with the electrical stuff), so I wanted to build a test project to get familiar with the micro blocks and learn to use them to their full potential (to those unfamiliar with micro blocks, they allow you to cut blocks into slabs, stripes and corners of 1/8 to 7/8 of the standard block size, but they can only actually be placed on the edge of a full block space limiting possibilities significantly).

So yeah, this was just a test run of the mod for me, and the result isn't anything amazing. I put about 45 hours of work into it in total (a lot of which was just experimenting around) and it features a full exterior and an unfurnished interior. I'll continue doing my main project castle now (which you can find on my profile page).

Boring history lesson I pulled out of my bum begins

The Romanesque era of architecture was prominent around Europe in the 11th and early 12th centuries. As the continent finally began restabilizing from the fall of the western Roman empire, the catholic church gained power and begun establishing a network of monasteries in all Christian countries of the time. This spread set off from Rome, the capital of the catholic world, causing monasteries everywhere to retain Roman architecture, which again replaced the less advanced methods of the newborn catholic kingdoms in large structures such as castles and nobility housing.

Romanesque architecture bears a distinct resemblance to ancient Roman architecture, which it is almost directly based on. Prominent features include extensive use of the round arch, mostly simple geometrical shapes such as rectangles and circles, as well as rich decorations, especially in the early era. Notable are also the limitations in architectural techniques removed by the Gothic era in the late 12th century, which cause Romanesque buildings to have solid, relatively low main bodies with towers springing out in several locations.
