Midnight Zone is a 2-player cooperative adventure map, where you play as 2 employees of a deep-sea research facility who have become trapped inside due to a massive hull breach. You and your partner must work together to solve puzzles and find your way to an escape submarine before the facility collapses completely. This map was originally created during the 2025 Java Creators MapJam, using the themes “Deep Below” and “It Takes Two”!

Our first v0.1 release is our “MapJam” version, intended to showcase the map as it was meant to be played for the MapJam submission. While this release is fully playable, please note it is relatively incomplete and may have some bugs. We hope to further develop this game over time, so stay tuned for updates!


Midnight Zone is meant to be played on Java version 1.21.5. It may not work on newer versions.

This may not be an appropriate place to ask this, and I definitely intend to play this map as well but I was wondering if your team ever intended to edit the backstabbed map? And if so I had a request, would it be possible to add a way to add custom maps to the game or for someone to make a tutorial on how to do so?
