Minas Tirith, City of kings.

History and Info

Minas Tirith was first built in Second Age 3320, when it was named Minas Anor, the tower of the sun. It was the sister-city of Minas Ithil, tower of the moon, until that became Minas Morgul when it was captured by Sauron. As the capital of Osgiliath fel into decline due to the great plague in the third age, Minas Tirith became more and more important until it became the capital. The city became important during the War of the Ring(3018-3019) where it was besieged by a large army of evil sent by Sauron.

The city is known for being built on a large hill at the eastern edge of the White Mountains. It's mostly famous for having the tower of Ecthelion, a high tower known for its beauty. It also has the White tree of Gondor, an ancient tree and symbol of the kings of Gondor. To protect the city it has a massive thick wall, unbreakable by any siege engine. the city is divided in 7 tiers, each tier connected by a large causeway and a gate, made so that the gates were never straight underneath each other, so that an invading army had to go trough the entire tier to get to the next layer. At the top was the citadel of Minas Tirith, a with a large throneroom and a courtyard with the white tree.

Personal info
I always wanted to make this city, as it was one of my favorite locations in The Lord Of The Rings. I have made some changes, mostly due to world height. The tower of Ecthelion is of course not as high as it should, and the city only has 6 levels so that the citadel could fit up there. I also wanted to make it different from most versions, so expect my own twists there.
