TheCodeMonk from Fumble Brothers has built an elevator using Tekkit Minecraft. Here is where you can download the world that contains the building that was used in the video, along with the elevator built inside. It is possible to make this in regular Minecraft, but with mods; Redpower and Railcraft. Both are included in Tekkit, however.
