You forgot to put some TNT below the player game controller so that when the player hits a mine in-game, the TNT below the player is set :)

great plan but make sure there are copies of the game. and i dont think this is a good idea in survival or hardcore mode

find your .minecraft folder and put the map into the "saves" folder. you should be able to find tutorials on getting to the .minecraft folder if you don't know how.
