The Ministry of Foreign Affairs building is one of seven “Stalins skyscrapers” built. It is located in Moscow on Smolenskaya-Sennaya Square and serves as the headquarters of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The architectural appearance of the building dates back to the neo-Gothic style of the late 19th century: a tiered structure with a gradual narrowing and lightening of the masses upward, coupled with rigid ribs, emphasize its height and upward direction. The central part of the building consists of 27 floors and, through the ledges of the tiers, passes into the side 16-story wings, and behind them into 6-story wings. These buildings connect the building mass with the surrounding residential buildings.

Здание Министерства иностранных дел — одна из семи построенных «сталинских высоток». Располагается в Москве на Смоленской-Сенной площади и служит местом расположения органов МИД России. Архитектурный облик постройки восходит к неоготике конца XIX века: ярусное строение с постепенным сужением и облегчением масс кверху вкупе с жёсткими рёбрами, подчёркивают её высоту и устремлённость вверх. Центральная часть здания состоит из 27 этажей. По бокам от порталов расположены крупные обелиски из тёмно-серого камня. Центральная часть высотки через уступы ярусов переходит в боковые 16-этажные крылья, а за ними — в 6-этажные. Эти корпуса связывают массив здания с окружающей его жилой застройкой.
