I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm not dead. I have been busy with other projects but I will make sure to work on this week (Dec. 18 - 25). I will probably have it done before Christmas.

Hi everyone! I'd like to present to you Moog City Jail! This is mostly done by me (Aidan Jones), but the idea and the general structure for it was done by David Abraham. A download for this will be coming as soon as it's finished. Look at Additional Notes for additional details.

Me and some of my friends have been working on this since 1.8 came out (So a little less then 2 months). It's a jail that has almost everything you could want in a jail including:

• Two cells with ten beds each.
  
• A exercise yard with an artificial sun. The exercise yard also has sniping posts and watch towers.
  
  
• A termination room (With lots of redstone wiring!)
  
• Another Room that the prisoners can go into just to get some sun.
  
• Tons of iron bars
  
• A break room
  
• Surrounded by lava. Who doesn't like lava?! Well, maybe admins...
  
• A small rail system for the guards to move to the other side of the jail quickly.
  
  

"One more thing" (Steve Jobs): There are corridors wherever the prisoners are (except for the cells, but I'm working on that) so that means it is impossible to get out, because you can always see the prisoners where ever they go. I will be adding doors so if a prisoner does start to misbehave, then you can open the door and *dramatic pause* deal with him in private.

A Complete Dissection of the Jail

The Cells
The cells are nothing special. Just 10 beds in a row (some on the wall, some on the floor). There are two windows. There's also a hole in the floor so that you just fall down (safetly) into some water and then go into the Exercise Yard. I will be adding corridors so you can see what's happening inside the cell.

Exercise Yard
This took the longest to build. It consists of a grass field with benches lining the walls. There is also an artificial sun made out of glowstone. There is sniping posts lining the walls and there is four watch towers in each corner. There is a corridor on the other side of the yard in which you can go back to your cell.

Termination Room
This room has lots of wiring and took two days to make. Basically the process goes like this: The controller signals the watcher that he/she is ready. The prisoner then gets escorted into the room (the controller opens the door) and then the watcher signals the controller to activate the security lock, which is two pistons with cobblestone on the piston to come out of the wall, preventing the prisoner from jumping out. The prisoner can't break out because the whole thing is made of bedrock. The watcher then signals the controller to open the trapdoor. Once he does, the prisoner falls to his fiery death. The signaling is all done with redstone torch code. 1 blink means to activate the security blinks. Two consecutive blinks means to open the door. A fun and complicated way to kill your friends!

Corridors
There are lots of corridors for the guards and the prisoners. What this basically does is it allows for the the guards to always see what the prisoners are doing closely. So, if a guard does start misbehaving, you'll be able to open a door (soon) and solve the problem. The pictures above explain how these corridors work.

• A way to securely escort the prisoners into their cells. Right now it's just a door.
