In the year 2057, a sattelite orbiting mars took photos of an ancient village.
This was the best evidence ever that life was once on mars.
It was named Mortusoppidum, after mortuus oppidum, meaning "dead town" in latin.

The town had 3 homes, one with a farm, and a main building called The Spire. Nobody knows what they did inside it.
In the center of the town they had a small well. The sattelite that took the photos only showed people on earth what the city looked like. It wasn't until 2059 that they explored. No furniture was found inside the homes.

This strange civilization may confuse us forever, but there's one thing we know for sure:
