M.S.S. Intrepid

Before I begin this description I would like to give a quick shout-out to Atrocities whose epic starship builds have inspired me to create my own starship class. I have made every effort to make this ship seem more "alive" and "real" than most other star trek models out there. Instead of simply colored wool, I have incorporated light and function wherever possible. The warp core and nacelles grow bright as if ready to take off. Currently working on Deck7 of 9 total. I look forward to releasing this model completed shortly.

The M.S.S. Intrepid is a new Trident-Class tactical cruiser based off the Nova and Rhode Island class science vessels. Larger and better-armed then it's predecessor, the Trident class has shifted focus from scientific exploration to long-range tactical escort. Although there are still science labs on board, much of the extra space on the Trident is geared toward combat, featuring additional phaser arrays and torpedo launchers as well as logistical support facilities for a platoon of marines.
