Nanuq's Reach is a village on the backwater planet of Dendrite, which once had a booming gold-rush level mining operation going on at the outer corners. The mining operation was interrupted when the miners struck a Cyberman tomb and were converted. This left the operation in shambles, and the city in an economic downturn. The Dendritians are not so gloom, however! They prefer their isolation, and have their fun going out in the cold and fishing.
Dendritians have a mean poker face, and that's why one of the most successful underground casinos in the galaxy thrives here. I've seen creatures go in there and bet this lifetime and the next and lose it all, but I've seen some make fortunes only Mansa Musa himself dreamt of.
The village is overlooked by a remnant statue of the Veritas leader, who once ruled over the inhabited galaxy. The Dendritians leave the ruin standing as a warning to any else waiting to impede upon their good time.
