Look at the pictures - there is granite and therefor it has to be 1.8. Anything that is 1.8 is also 1.7 technically, and vise-versa

Yes, but if you go into a 1.8 map in 1.7 or earlier, the 1.8 blocks disappear and don't return in the 1.8 version. A bit annoying but unavoidable really.

mmm not with me. for example 1:5 looks like simple stone in 1.7.5 but 1.8 it looks like andestite or granite or whatever it is ;P
