Solo Edition Snow Globe Contest
The solo edition means all entries are created by individual members; no teams. This is the official starter map for the solo edition of the Snow Globe project contest. If you are entering the solo edition of the contest, you must start with this map and some modifications to the globe are allowed. Read the full solo edition contest rules.

We are also running a team edition contest at the same time! Teams are not required to start with this map but are welcome to use it. Entries are required to be themed "Snow Globe". Read the full team edition rules.

Hey guys, if you don't have world edit or something, and you don't want to spend a lot of time trying to empty the globe and you want to start out with an empty globe I figured I would help out a bit :)

Quick question, am I able to completely remove the current terrain within the snowglobe?

The rules say: "You can change the material/remove/add to the original snow globe to compliment your build style."
Basically as long as the snowglobe still looks like a snowglobe of the same size, you can edit any part of it. Also I assume the inside doesn't count as part of the snow globe, so yes you can completemy remove it

Yes, just start with the original Snow Globe map if you're entering the solo contest. You're free to change the terrain & season.

I have to completely remove the base of the snow globe and redo it for my concept... am i allowed?

Yes, the scale of the globe should not change though. Even if base is replaced with a completely different design the scale of the globe mainly comes from the size of the glass dome. You'll be fine.

If in the globe a hole about the size of one chunk is punched, but the globe will remain a globe, it is allowed? And MCedit is legal?
