Persepolis + Naqsh-e Rostam + Pasargadae + other Persian interests! (Achaemenid Empire)

Persepolis was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire around 400 BCE. Modern day Iran. Basing off reconstructions by Jean-Claude Golvin. And various other plans of the site.

Also another big part of this world is the palaces and gardens at Pasargadae. Pasargadae includes 2 palaces, a gatehouse and two pavilions. Also located at the site is the Tomb of Cyrus the Great, the Tomb of Cambyses I. The citadel of Pasargadae resides near and watches over the palaces and gardens. This location in reality is much further away from Persepolis than in this world, i wanted to include it but not have it a long way away.

Near by, both in the world and real life are many large tombs carved into the cliffs at Naqsh-e Rustam.

One of the smaller sites of this area is Naqsh-e Rajab. This site comprises of rock carvings in a small enclosure in the side of the hill which Persepolis resides against.

Not fully finished, but I will keep working on it sparingly. All of the structures are done, the rest of the work will just be populating the area that currently is just grass. For example more fields.

Creative liberties were taken in many places. Persepolis was a city, however here and in many reconstructions surrounding the large platformed palaces and other buildings would be the rest of the city, many houses and likely other civil buildings. It is hard to guess how the city section of Persepolis would have looked however it likely would have just been houses all in front of the citadel rather then vast farmland.

Also worth note is that I tried to make everything accurate, I looked a lot at plans of the buildings, however it is not all perfect. A lot of these places have few photos of around on the internet.
