Hey guys,
Things like this are annoying, and this one especially is almost impossibe to hide the redstone!
But as a youtuber once said, "Why use stairs? Don't be barbaric! This is the age of pistons!"
So if you like pistons and obnoxious, pointless redstone, download the schematic and try it out!
It works great and it "could" be useful on your server!
Just hold your forward key and let the pistons do the rest.

And you just have to hold forward, so you are right, it is pretty much not worth the effort.
