Wanting more of a challenge, members of PokeCraft, Redstone Project Z and a few others got together to create one massive piece of Pixel Art.

This recreation of Black and White Kyurem consists of exactly 475,000 blocks which took a total of 18 days to put together. The build was time-lapsed, but due to peoples availability there was a lot of off camera building. Nevertheless, it was a great experience with a big thank you to Redstone Project Z for helping with the recording and building.

The next big project that we plan to work on is a recreation of Unova from Pokemon Black & White 2. We expect it to be a far greater challenge, but if we can find the right helpers it should be possible. Check out the PokeCraft Facebook page for all details concerning helping with the build and when and where it will be.


From what I understand it looks like the Black and White 2 Map Recreation may be put on hold for a bit. Everything is a bit mumbled but those of you who were interested in helping be assured that we haven't completely given it the flick. In the meantime, we instead plan to continue with this project theme and build some more HD Sprites. Anyone interested check the PokeCraft Facebook regularly for details or stay tuned for any blog I may create in the future.

I would love to have it downloadable but the people I helped build it with, RedstoneProjectZ (Im pretty sure you met them, they posted this as well and I believe you commented on it) are the only ones with a copy of the map.

Hopefully they manage to find a copy, they were pretty ecstatic when they saw your comment :)

Yeah we used Spritecraft to generate the image into Minecraft blocks which each builder given the image to use as a point of reference.

it is amazing how good you can count al those blocks if i use that program i make alot of mistakes

We just were lucky that we had a good bunch of builders who were patient to stick through it the entire time. It's a very time consuming creation.

yes i would like to make projects like this but i dont have time to play al day and my friend get bored wen a project takes moe then an hour to make so they cant help me somi just have to make my project myself without help.

but i do help other people al the time
