This is the ultimate PvP arena and the finale of my server's PvP complex. It is a massive contained arena with multiple biomes all under one roof. Almost every aspect was inspired by the Roman Colosseum. The arena can be flooded with lava or water. There are special piston controls that can control the depth of liquid and create a map with no water, islands, or all ocean. Possibly the most spectacular feature is the ability to release mobs into the arena on command. This is done using an underground mob trap that transports mobs to holding rooms around the edge of the arena. When the battle begins, water pushes the mobs out into the arena to fight.

As for the organization of battles, there are facilities for a large amount of players using many different weapons. There are natural and artificial structures that allow for all kinds of shooting perches and forward bases.
