PvP Map

I am making a pvp map from inspiration from hypixels gladiator arena. I am capable of doing lots of redstone but the question is. can I have the patience and confidence to build all of this. By myself in single player.

I am testing out designs for an arena and I don't want to copy and paste them from other maps. It is such a hard thing to do but I think I can do it. The map so far runs on Snapshot 13w09b so I probably wont release it until 1.5 comes out. just to be safe.
