This is my entry for the Tiny Castles contest hosted by DinowCookie!
For this contest the challenge was to make a castle within 64 x 64, no height limit.
This is basically my version and vision of the Queen of Hearts' castle, I wanted to go with disney's cartoon version design because I haven't seen many actual references of it that are the same. I was able to create the shape from it but this allowed me to be able to create the castle how I would imagine it.

Exterior
For the exterior of the castle I followed the shape of the cartoon's castle version. I decided that I wanted to take the card color theme of red, black, and white to incorporate it with my castle design which follows in favor of both the alice in wonderland movies and to me personally fits the theme of the queen of hearts more. With this theme in mind I decided that I wanted to add a swirl-like texture to the towers to give them a more menacing and magical feel.
Outside of the castle I added giant flowers in favor of how alice in wonderland allows for the shrinking and growing of a person, I wanted different colors from the castle to allow them to pop out more and add to the feel of how strange the world of wonderland is.
Of course, the queen of hearts' castle would never be complete without a maze, in order to find your way into the castle you must enter your way into the maze to the right of the main tower where the hedge is open with a greeting red carpet.
Castle Rooms
For the castle rooms I wanted to have the initial throne room including dining, seating fit for the queen's entertainment, and the dining table to fit a feast.
The queen's personal room is bigger than all the normal rooms and holds all her treasured belongings as well as her precious roses. Her bed is fit enough for a queen, and her riches may or may not be hidden above her.
With the Knight's tower I wanted to make space for them to have their own hobbies and space for them to sleep as well, not too big or small but right just enough for the knights to live comfortably.
When it comes to the defence tower I took inspiration from the scene that alice falls down the rabbit's hole and decided to make floating objects for a magical feel and reference to the movies. The bottom of the deference tower holds the castle's defence supplies and crafting. Its staircase leads out to the top of the tower in order to see out over the castle in case of enemies.
