This keyboard sends an 8 bit serial signal down 1 wire, where it is then decoded into a letter/number/symbol and shown on a 16 seg display. All charactors are mapped in ASCII so it's very easy to edit or impliment into your own design :)

Interesting to put all the signals over one line. I still have such a mechanisme but never really found a way to make it usefull. Anyway I am going to explore the map to try some reverse engineering (probably failing on it but still interesting).

The 16 segment display is a bit of getting used to it for me but nice done on that.

Personally for the next time give the system behind it more showing time for example the begin till the end, following the steps. Just a suggestion.

Anyway I have seen you over time with several nice restone builds and well I guess it is time to subscribe before I wonder myself at the next building of yours why i didn't do it before.

Do you mean the serial to parallel deccoder part or the keyboard encoder? Sometimes i'm not too sure how much of something i should display as i already know how it works. I do have a video that shows the decoding in more of its basic form https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7ooVSa76n0

Thanks for the sub and comment eagoy :)
