Intro
Hello and welcome to the Red Stone Stone Test Labs Inc. facility. RSTLi is here to help to research the wonderful game mechanics of the world of Minecraft created by our wonderful god and dictator, The Notch, he who is great and unfathomable in all ways.

RSTLi researches mainly in the red stone aspect of Minecraft. However we are more than willing to delve into the mysteries of the other mechanics of Minecraft.

RSTLi is just a little playground that I have created and so far not much has been done. I've only made 8 tests with red stone and 1 experiment with some of thee foliage in the game. The results of these tests are posted below

also please note that I am not amazing with red stone. If you're looking for something as complicated as the stuff that has been done on the voxelbox then you'll have to look somewhere else. Sorry....

Tests and Experiments

Various red stone basics tests:
Test #1" Or gate
Test #7: Repeater infinite loop

Red stone tests:
Test #3: Finding a way of having 1 door (or pistons) being open while the other is closed then if one opens the other closes (not sure what that's called)
Test #4: A more efficient form of test #3 (Test #4)

Piston tests:
Test #2: Same as Test #3 but in a different form and with 2 pistons facing each other
Test #5: Multiple Retractable and extending sticky pistons
Test #6a: Remake of Voxelbox's tnt cannon reloading system from their build along (TNT cannon will be made later on)
Test #6b: Test #6 but modified to hold more than 13 blocks (kind of useless for the TNT cannon, just an idea that I had)
Test #7: Piston powered sand elevator (gravel can be used as well). the Voxelbox's TNT cannon reloading system but modified to be an elevator that goes up and down. Note: I still need to figure out how to control from the top, which is completely possible
Test #8: Piston powered door. This one is not completed and further ntesting and research WILL be made. The reason why it is not completed isn because the wiring is messy and is not efficient because the inside nlever that controls the doors for some reason does not control the top nright piston.
Test #9: Piston powered Strobe Light (for the nfuture RSTLi night club. This one is considered a fail because, to me, nit is not fast enough and I need to find a way to have it so that when nthe lightstone is not seen a block is blocking the hole to prevent more nlight from coming in. (I already have 1 concept and 1 design for this nissue).
Test #10: Sand elevator V2. This time it can lift not only sand or gravel but humans as well... yes it's an actual elevator that can actually be used to get from one level to another. The max height it can reach is 13 blocks from the point at which it starts. This is my own idea and not copied off of anyone else I did not search for any ideas either however partial credit goes to the guys over at the voxelbox server for giving me a base design.

Experiments

Foliage:
Experiment #1a:
Question: What grows faster? Sugar canes or cacti
Procedure:n 3 blocks of sugar cane and cacti are placed. Watch to see what grows ton maximum height and compare the ratio. Note: I have not looked up the growth speeds.
Results: Sugar cane reached max height on all 3 while cacti only grew two blocks. Same results were found after repeating the test a second time
Conclusion: Sugar cane grows three times faster than cacti

Experiment #1b:
Question: What spreads or replicates faster? Red or Brown Mushrooms
Procedure:n 1 of each mushroom placed in an area closed off with fences as in the diagram below. Wait to see which spreads to the other 2 blocks the fastest. Note: May take LONG time. This is without looking up speeds for the growth rate.
