Relictis, a city lost in time. Deserted many ages ago, a gloomy reminder of an ancient civilisation stands, worn by time, taken by sand. Finally, steve had found a shelter from the relentless sun. However, he'd soon find out that this ruined city is devoid of water. So, how sad it may sound, Steve had to move on and, just like the ancient people who dwelmed the sacred buildings, he had to leave the city, in his search of water, fighting to stay alive. And so the city returned to its ethernal rest.
As to the building progress of this project, I just wanted to try something new. I wanted to move away from the usual classic or medieval buildings and try a new style. I saw that Minecraft lacks oriental buildings and so came the idea for a minaret. I built it, but felt it was pretty lonely, so I made a temple, next a broken wall with arches, a shrine, and at last two (or three) other buildings. I do like the end result, and hope you do as well.

Quite nice ruins and such, looks nice random made. It blends well, maybe to good, with the surroundings.
Good luck with the contest fellow contestant!
I also had a look at your build and I like it. It's an original idea and well executed. I also like the details like those pots and the camels in the background. Unlike me, you did manage to use more than just sandstone ;). To be honest, your build is probably better than mine, so I wish you the same, fellow contestant.
Thanks for the compliment :-)
