are you sure the world is unzipped? and are you sure you are only putting the world folder in your saves folder, not the world and resource pack combined by accident?

Yes, as a map maker myself, I know to unzip it and put it in the saves folder. I used the "RoadRunnersWorld" folder that I put in saves and the "RoadRunnersResources" in resourcepacks.
